Neville become another of a long line of professors who never married. For some, it was because they didn't have enough time. For others, it was because they were too...what have you to attract someone. For Neville? He lost the one he loved years ago.
Remus was the first adult to show him to stand tall and fear nothing. He was there during his joys as he Owled the man and would secretly visit him to share in his tears.
Now Remus was dead, married with a child too, but forever dead and Neville was alone.
He still loved Remus.
