Despite Hermione's bookish ways, she never learned the traditions that nearly every wizard learned as a child. Dumbledore may have given her a book of fairy tales but it never occurred to her that there was more to the Wizarding World than just the magic that set them apart from Muggles.
So when Harry innocently gave her a bouquet of lilies twinkling with stardust, she accepted without thinking otherwise. As she gave him a kiss on the cheek, magic swirled around them.
Ron fumed. Ginny cried. She had married Harry by flowers.
Years past and Hermione didn't regret her beloved.
