Ginny hungrily kissed Draco as she pulled him down on top of her. Draco laughed, a real laugh after months of silence and fear from the war, and stroked Ginny's cheek.
"I never thought it'd be you," she murmured, eyes shining bright from the wine they drank a few minutes earlier. "I always waited for him and I never saw you in the shadows."
He understand exactly what Ginny was saying. Each was so distracted by the events of the war that, until it was over, they couldn't see each other for who they really were.
"Draco, you're my hero."
