Every year on his birthday, there was a lavish party filled with important wizards and the finest imported everything for his guests to consume. It was a Malfoy tradition and Draco had no reason to change with tradition.
However, he had his own tradition for his birthday. Once the guests went home and his servants cleaned the mansion, Draco went up to the roof with a slice of cake and a glass of Butterbeer. He'd wish on his favorite star, eat, drink, and enjoy his solitude.
No one knew about his own birthday tradition and Draco liked it that way.
