Ron tripped over something in the dark and Harry bumped right into him from behind. Harry cursed as he nudged Ron none too gently. "You'll wake up Hermione."
"Not me. You're the one who keeps making all the racket," he hissed back.
The light in the living room flickered on and both boys flushed red, Ron more than Harry, as they turned towards the stairwell. Hermione, stomach protruding heavily, stood on the last step as a smile curled on her lips.
"What are you two up to?" she asked as she waddled her way towards them. "It's almost midnight." It was then that she saw the wrapped boxes they were holding.
"Happy birthday, Hermione," said Ron as he kissed her cheek while Harry handed her his present.
"We wanted to surprise you, but someone woke you up."
Ron opened his mouth to argue back when Hermione laughed once more and kissed the both of them. "You two didn't wake me up. The baby did."
Immediately, Harry and Ron helped Hermione to the couch, and they sat down with her in the middle. She tore through the wrapping of her present before lifting the lid with glee. "Boys! I've always wanted the complete guide to Wandless Magic. Thank you so much."
Hermione gave them both kisses again as Ron slung his arm over her shoulders, his fingers caressing the nape of Harry's neck. Harry grinned and placed his hand over Hermione's stomach.
There was no place else the trio would rather be.
