Harry pressed his hand down to stop the blood flowing from his leg. The mission was a success, but he still managed to get hurt.
"Harry, you have got to stop with this saving people business." Hermione kneeled as she took a good look at his thigh, immediately staunching the wound with spells and potions.
"It's kind of my job. Auror, remember?"
"There's a difference between Aurors and you." She looked up at him. "I just don't want you to wind up dead. You're the only person I have."
Harry leaned over to kiss Hermione on her head. "I'm here."

Hermione paced back and forth while Harry watched her from across the room. Finally, he stood up and walked to her, stopping her from pacing. "Stop fretting. You'll pass, as always. Then we'll go out and celebrate."
She looked up and smile wryly. "You always know how to make me feel better."
Harry laughed and rested his hands on Hermione's waist. "Because I'm all about saving people. Right now, you need some saving." He kissed her lightly on the lips, as if asking for her permission.
Hermione hiccupped and nodded. "Yes," she whispered. "Yes."
They kissed for a long time.
