The sun rose over the Hogwarts castle as a bundled up Severus stood on the
Quidditch pitch . There was only one reason why he would be awake at such an ungodly
hour. Severus looked up to see a young man zooming through the sky. He sighed. That
was why.
"Harry, I don't see why I have to be out here with you while you... do whatever
it is you're doing," Severus called out.
Harry slowed his broom down and landed next to his love. "You know, I seem to
recall a certain person who used to play this game once."
Severus rubbed his frozen nose. "That was a long time ago, Harry. You weren't
even born yet."
"True," he admitted. "But I thought one could never forget the feel of riding
a broom during a Quidditch match. Give me one more flight around the pitch and we can
go back inside for some hot chocolate. I promise."
"I'll hold you to it." Severus leaned forward and kissed his husband on the lips
before allowing him to take flight. They had only been married for five years now; five
years full of arguing, kissing, and joy, and Severus wouldn't trade those years for
anything. Who knew that the bane of his teaching existence would also become the light
of his life?
The two walked hand in hand within the Hogwarts halls in comfortable silence,
the younger of the two leaning his head on the older one. "I'm sorry, you know," Harry
said, as he broke the silence. "I wish my team wasn't playing today."
"It's not your fault Harry," Severus said with love. "I can't blame you,
especially since you Apparated to spend last night and this morning with me." He stopped
walking and faced his husband. "I know you have to go now, but promise me you won't be
thinking about me during the game, except in good terms. Alright? I'd hate for the star
Seeker of the English team to be distracted."
Harry laughed. "I promise. You know how I am when I'm playing. I am completely
focused." Harry dimpled. "Unlike Potions class. Must be the Professor."
Severus reached for Harry's sides to tickle him. "Uh huh. That excuse won't work
with me, Mr. Potter, just like the rest of the miserable excuses you've told me during
the seven years I've taught you."
Harry batted his husband's hands away and glanced around the empty hall. "What
if someone saw us? Honestly, Sev, you act too much like me for your own good."
"Really?" Severus wrapped his arms around Harry and pulled him closer. "I thought
you'd enjoy a less anal side of me."
"I love you, just the way you are." Harry sighed. "I better go before I'm late
for the practice before the game, and I'm already pushing it as it is. If I wasn't their
damn best Seeker ever, and you weren't my oh so scary husband, I would have been fired by
now. One last kiss before I walk to Hogsmeade?"
"Well, only because you asked so nicely." Severus reached down and passionately
kissed Harry before reluctantly letting him go. "After I am done with my classes, I will
Apparate over."
"Then I'll catch the Snitch in honor of you."

After Harry left, Severus couldn't concentrate on instructing his classes. All
he could think about was his husband. The last class was Slytherin/Gryffindor seventh
years. Since neither they nor he wanted to focus on the task at hand, he barked at them
to put away their supplies and return to their seats. "Consider this your lucky day as it
will never happen again. We'll forgo today's lesson in place of Quidditch chatter."
His students couldn't believe what they just heard. Their Professor was crazy or
out of his mind, but after a few seconds hesitation, they jumped at their break. "Today
is the England versus Germany match," a Gryffindor girl piped up. "I wanted to go but the
game's sold out."
Murmurs of agreement rose in the class. Severus hid a smirk. "That's too bad
really. Fortunately for me, I'm married to England's Seeker so I have first class seats
for the game."
While his statement was Snapish in form, the fact he admitted he was married to
Harry in public was Potter's influence. This sparked talk about the famous Harry Potter
in general and that was a topic Severus had no problem discussing.

Severus was never a man to show much emotion but seeing his husband zoom past
with the crowd screaming themselves hoarse made him want to stand up and cheer as well.
Harry did a somersault and caught the Snitch right before Germany's Seeker could grab it.
England had won: 300-130.
After the game, Severus took Harry out to dinner at a fancy restaurant. The waiter
sat them down and left so they could decide on their order. Harry quickly scanned the prices
of the dishes and his eyes flew to meet Severus' gaze. "Honey, I know you're wealthy,
but-"
"Shhh, it's okay, Harry. I love you and after that spectacular run, you deserve
this dinner and then some. Dessert perhaps?" The look in Severus' eyes brought chills
down Harry's spine. The look promised everything and more.
Harry gulped. "Dessert would be wonderful. Okay, who are you and what have you done
to my Sev?"
Severus rolled his eyes. "Did a Bludger knock what little common sense you have
out of your head?"
"No, but have you been inhaling potion fumes? Look at you, Sev. You are so open and
relaxed compared to five years ago. I mean, you are actually joking around!"
Severus reached over and placed his hand over Harry's. "I've noticed. And you know
the reason for my change, Harry? It's you. You've changed me for the better."
Harry's face softened and his eyes watered. "Aw Sev, you are making me teary-eyed.
I love you," he whispered.
"And I love you." Severus smiled and kissed Harry gently.
