Anna cursed Castiel's name for setting a trap against her. For the torture she knew that was coming. The physical torture was nothing compared to what the angels did to her mind. They played with her thoughts and memories until all that was left was shards of her life crumbling in her hands.
And when there was nothing left of her but shards, that's when the angels honed her into their weapon. Anna couldn't fight them off, not when she was broken into pieces of her former self.
So when they handed her a sword and a mission, she accepted.
