"Are you listening to me, Severus? Don't you *dare* turn your back on me!"
The Slytherins looked at each other then towards their Head's chamber. This was the
fifth time this week that Professor Snape and his husband Professor Potter had been
arguing. Loudly.
"Potter! Shut your trap and go to bed!"
"Potter? Potter, is it? That's it! I'm tired of being treated like your
bitch. I'm leaving!"
"Fine!"
"Fine!" Harry stormed out and as he slammed the door, the Slytherins groaned
in pain as magic crackled out in waves throughout Hogwarts. Harry noticed none of
this as he lugged his suitcase out of the Slytherin Common Room and through the
passageway.
Severus opened the door and glared at his students. "Isn't it time everyone
went to bed?" he barked out.
Things only went downhill from there. Before the Fight, the two Heads had
brought harmony to their two Houses. Now...now things were even worse then before
Harry became Head of Gryffindor after McGonagall's death. During Potions class,
Severus stripped the Gryffindors of massive amounts of points. During Defense Against
The Dark Arts class, Harry punished the Slytherins with days of detention in the
Forbidden Forest.
Any time they were in the same room, sparks would fly and the students would
develop headaches from the magic that the Professors released unintentionally.
Their behavior started to affect their own charges soon after. The Slytherins
and Gryffindors bickered, fought, and played tricks on each other. It was enough to
drive the other teachers crazy. "Albus, you need to do something about those two.
Their actions are being mimicked by their students and it makes for a very
uncomfortable working environment," Professor Sprout concluded.
Albus leaned back in his chair and pondered thoughtfully. It was because of
his two Head of Houses that he called this staff meeting, excluding Snape and Potter,
of course.
"I love Harry like a son," Hagrid said. "But I agree that something must be
done. They have to make up, or at least come to a truce."
"Hell, Severus and Harry need to make out!" said Sirius, the Transfiguration
Professor. Even though it was his godson in question, he had long accepted that Harry
loved Severus.
Albus' eyes began to twinkle. "That's an excellent suggestion, Sirius. And
I think I know how to pull it off."
"You want us to do *what*?" Harry exclaimed in horror. He and Severus had
been called into Albus' office for a "special" meeting.
"Apparently you have grown deaf since the last time we were together, Potter."
Severus glared at Albus. "What I don't understand is why we have to be tied together
with magical bonds for a week? Do you really hate me that much, Albus?"
"It's because I'm fond of both of you that I decided on this course of action.
Harry, Severus, have you noticed that your own students have been following your
actions and picking fights between each other? This needs to stop, and what better
way then to force the Slytherin and Gryffindor Head of Houses to work together. Don't
you agree?"
They didn't but it did not matter. What Albus wanted, Albus got. So the
Headmaster cast the spell and sent the two bonded men on their way. Harry glanced
at his left wrist. If he concentrated hard enough, he could see the faint glow of
their bonds.
"How far can these bonds be stretched?" Harry asked.
Severus pondered thoughtfully. "Three feet at the most." He scrowled when he
realized who he was talking to. "Let's get this straight, Potter. Since we have a week
of torture ahead of us, I suggest minimal amount of communication to each other, and
you moving to my rooms for the duration. I refuse to sleep anywhere near your
Gryffindorks."
"There's no need for name calling, Snape. I'll agree to your demands if you
agree to mine. During the Quidditch matches, you'll be sitting with me on the
Gryffindor side. At meals, we'll have them in your rooms. I rather not have the entire
school watching us make a mockery of ourselves. Okay?"
"Fine." Severus pulled on the bonds. "I have fifth years to teach now. You?"
"First years, but I'm sure Sirius knows about this by now and arranged Remus
to take over for me. He always knows." Harry motioned with his hand. "Lead the way."
The rest of the day passed uneventful, to Severus' relief. When his students
looked at them with questions in their eyes, he briefly revealed that Professor Potter
would be with them for the week and if anyone so much as thought about the issue, they
would receive a week's worth of detention. Fortunately, none of his students disobeyed
him in this.
In the dungeons, Harry followed Severus towards his rooms. It used to be theirs
until...until.
"Potter, why have you stopped?"
Harry didn't realize he did until Severus looked back at him with annoyance
in his eyes. "Sorry about that. I was just thinking."
"A first, I'm sure," Severus said coolly. They continued down the hall and
entered Severus' rooms. It was just as Harry remembered it. He also remembered that
this was one of the things they argued about, the fact that Harry always felt like a
guest even though he lived in the rooms as well.
"You can shower first."
Harry glanced at Severus in surprise. "Oh for! Potter, I've already *seen* you
naked. It's past the time for you to be so modest."
"Naked and then some," Harry murmured. "We used to have so much fun with water.
Do you remember?"
"No. Stop stalling and hurry up. I want to shower too so I can finish grading
essays before I sleep." Severus pushed Harry towards the bathroom and tried to pull
Harry's robe over his head. Harry yelped and struggled against him. "Damn it, Potter!
Just do as I say for once in your life."
"I always have to do what you say! You never let me do what I want. You never
let me be your equal."
Severus stared at Harry and frowned. "You were always my equal, Potter. You
just never saw it. Now take off your clothes or do I have spell it off you?"
Harry reluctantly took the rest of his clothes off and went into the shower
while Severus waited just outside the curtain. He grabbed the soap and lathered himself
up before letting the water wash it all away. What did Severus mean exactly when he
said that Harry was his equal but he never saw it? The two had married just a year
ago after a two year engagement and an even longer period of them dating. However,
in all the time that Harry knew Severus, from the first day of school at Hogwarts
years ago, Harry always felt beneath him.
He stuck his hand out. "Towel?" Severus handed it to him and once he wrapped
himself in it, he stepped out and bowed. "All yours."
"Finally."
Harry sighed and shifted a little. He knew if he kept moving, Severus would
wake up and scold him, but he couldn't help it. How long has it been since he slept
in this bed with his husband? Weeks, but it seemed even longer. The last happy moment
they had was when Harry was grading essays in bed while Severus graded his on his desk.
Harry suddenly pushed his work aside and dragged Severus into bed for some fun. The
very last, as they started fighting soon after and Severus refused to sleep in the
same bed as him.
"Potter, go to sleep." Severus turned over and stared into Harry's vivid green
eyes. "You're thinking again. Stop it."
"I can't help it. Af--after our fight, why didn't we divorce each other? You
said you were going to."
Severus paused "There wasn't enough time. We both had classes to teach--"
"Bullshit, Severus, and you know it. Try again." Severus sat up and tried to
walk away. He couldn't get very far because of the bonds though. "Why are you walking
away from me? We need to talk about this. You know this is why Albus tied us together."
"And I don't want to talk about it! Damn it, Harry, don't push."
Harry sat up and stroked Severus' back. "I have to. Sev, I haven't stopped
loving you and I never will. Whatever we were fighting about, for my part, I'm sorry.
Forgive me?"
Severus suddenly turned around and wrapped his arms around his husband as he
crushed his lips against Harry's. He took in a haggard breath, muttering, "Forgiven,"
before kissing Harry again. Harry moaned and opened his mouth to allow Severus'
tongue to enter. He missed this. Making love to his husband was a beautiful thing.
They stripped their clothes off and Severus reached for the lubricant in his
drawer. Dipping his fingers into the container, he entered and began preparing Harry.
While he knew he should wait a little longer, Harry wanted Severus inside of him. Now.
Severus understood Harry's little whimpers and murmured into Harry's ear
before impaling himself into Harry.
"Sev!"
Harry began pushing back as Severus thrusted into his husband, sweat glistening
on their bodies as they moved faster and faster until...Severus pounded in one last
time before coming. Harry soon followed.
Before Severus could pull out, Harry nestled against him and shook his head.
"Stay with me." Severus nodded and wrapped his arms around Harry before the two drifted
off to sleep. Neither of them noticed that their bonds had faded away.
